Summer veg patch

The veggie patch always looks either really spectacular or very hot and dry during this mid summer time of the year. I bought a whole lot of seedlings just before christmas and they need quite a bit of loving care and loads of water. The older plants are bearing beautifully. I made cauliflower and tahini and sweet broccoli for our christmas lunch with the Smiths, freshly picked that morning. I’m quite stoked because my purple cauliflower seeds are coming up. I also got new brinjal plants, they enjoy the sun. I also noticed the peppadews are starting, which means we have to get the net up to keep the birds from eating everything. My tomatoes this year are looking quite magnificent. Biggest ever!
The Jerusalem artichokes are just about to burst into flower, the are standing about a meter and a half tall at the moment. My Kale is alo just growing and growing, what a wonderful plant.
I found a Galangal (Thai ginger) plant in a nursery in PE. Also doing well, I just need to learn how to harvest and use it next.
